Take Care of Your Cryptid

Your Custom Cryptid is built to go on adventures, get plenty of hugs, and hopefully become a longtime member of your collection.

A little care will help keep your cryptid looking and feeling its best.

Spot Clean

For everyday messes, we recommend spot cleaning.

  1. Use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with cool or lukewarm water.

  2. Add a small amount of mild soap if needed.

  3. Gently clean the affected area.

  4. Use a clean, damp cloth to remove any remaining soap.

  5. Allow the piece to air dry completely before putting it back together.

Avoid soaking the plush whenever possible.

Keep It Dry

Custom Cryptids are plush creatures—not aquatic cryptids.

Avoid:

  • Submerging your cryptid in water

  • Leaving it wet for extended periods

  • Using bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals

  • Putting it in the dryer

  • Using high heat to dry it

If your cryptid does get wet, gently remove excess moisture with a towel and allow it to air dry completely.

Care for the Connections

The hook-and-loop fasteners are what make your cryptid customizable, so give them a little attention too.

Keep the connection areas free of:

  • Lint

  • Hair

  • Dirt

  • Food

  • Other debris

Before cleaning, separate the pieces whenever possible.

If lint or fuzz gets caught in the hook-and-loop material, gently remove it by hand.

Keep Your Cryptid Looking Its Best

To help preserve the shape and appearance of your plush:

  • Avoid excessive pulling or stretching.

  • Don't drag your cryptid across rough surfaces.

  • Keep it away from sharp objects.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause colors to fade.

  • Store unused pieces somewhere clean and dry.

Your cryptid can handle adventures.

Just don't make it fight a dragon.

Can I Machine Wash My Cryptid?

Unless the specific product's care label says otherwise, we recommend hand or spot cleaning rather than machine washing.

Different Custom Cryptids may use different materials and construction, so always follow the care instructions included with your specific product
