Custom Cryptids are collectible, customizable plush creatures made from interchangeable pieces.
Choose a Head, Body, and Feet, then mix and match them to create your own unique creature.
There are no wrong combinations. If you think it looks awesome, it's right.

How do the pieces connect?
Our cryptid pieces use high-quality hook-and-loop velcro to connect to one another.
This allows you to easily pull your cryptid apart and swap pieces without needing tools, sewing, or complicated assembly.
Can I mix pieces from different cryptids?
Yes! That's the whole idea.
Our interchangeable pieces are designed to be mixed and matched across the Custom Cryptids collection.
Put a dragon head on a Mothman body. Give your Cthulhu some different feet.
Create something completely ridiculous.
We encourage it.
Do I have to buy a complete cryptid?
No!
You can purchase complete sets if you want to start with a ready-to-go creature, or you can collect individual pieces and build your collection over time.
As we release more cryptids and pieces, the number of possible combinations will continue to grow.
Can I buy replacement pieces?
Absolutely.
We're designing Custom Cryptids to be collectible and customizable, so individual pieces are an important part of the system.
If you lose or damage a piece, check our shop for available replacements. If you can't find what you're looking for, contact us and we'll see what we can do.
Are Custom Cryptids safe for children?
Our current products are designed and tested for ages 3+.
However, Custom Cryptids contain interchangeable components, so young children should always use them appropriately and under adult supervision when needed.
Always follow the age recommendation and safety information included with your specific product.
How big are Custom Cryptids?
Our cryptids are designed to be large enough to be huggable and small enough to take on adventures.

How do I clean my Custom Cryptid?
For best results, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed.
Avoid soaking or machine washing unless the individual product's care instructions specifically say it is safe to do so.
Before cleaning, remove any interchangeable pieces that can be detached.
Can I wash the individual pieces?
Care instructions can vary depending on the piece and materials used.
Check the care information included with your product before washing.
When in doubt, spot clean and air dry.
Will you release more cryptids?
Absolutely.
New cryptids are one of the most exciting parts of Custom Cryptids.
We're planning to continue expanding the collection with new creatures, new pieces, special editions, and limited releases.
And yes—we want to hear what cryptid you'd like to see next.
Will limited-edition cryptids come back?
Some may.
Others may be retired permanently.
Part of the fun of Custom Cryptids is that certain designs may only be available for a limited time. If you see one you really want, we recommend grabbing it while it's available.
Can I customize the colors?
Our standard designs come in their designated colors, but we're always exploring new colorways and special editions.

Are Custom Cryptids handmade?
Custom Cryptids are designed by our team and produced with manufacturing partners who specialize in plush products.
Every product is inspected and prepared before it makes its way to you.
We're committed to creating something that feels like a real collectible, not a cheap novelty.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship throughout the United States.
International shipping may be available depending on the product and destination. Check the shipping options at checkout or contact us if you have questions about a specific location.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders are processed within 2-3 business days before being handed off to the shipping carrier.
Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information.
Shipping times can vary during holidays, product launches, Kickstarter fulfillment, and other especially busy periods.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us.
Take a few photos of the damage and send them to us along with your order information.
We'll work with you to make it right, whether that means a replacement, replacement piece, repair, refund, or another solution.
Can I return my Custom Cryptid?
Yes.
We offer free returns for products that are returned in good condition.
If you aren't happy with your purchase, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll help you through the return process.

What if I just don't like my cryptid?
That's okay!
Sometimes something looks different in person than you expected.
If your product is in good condition and within our return window, you can return it for a refund under our return policy.
And if there's a problem with the product itself, we'll make it right.
What if I receive the wrong item?
Contact us as soon as you notice the problem.
We'll get the correct item to you and make sure the mistake is resolved.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes!

Can I mix and match pieces with my friend's Custom Cryptids?
That's encouraged.
If your friends have their own Custom Cryptids, bring them together and see what you can create.
Just remember whose pieces are whose when it's time to go home.
Is there a "correct" way to build my cryptid?
Nope.
That's the fun.
Some combinations will look adorable. Some will look strange. Some will look like they escaped from another dimension.
There are no wrong cryptids.
